Fundraising function for Swat IDPs (20th June 09)

With the help of few families who devoted their time and donated dinner for the participants at the function, PAASA was able to raise A $10,000.

This generous donation by the community members and some businesses was transferred to the Abdul Sattar Edhi Foundation's Swat IDP Fund.

We would like to sincerely thank all for thier support for the fellow Pakistanis from Swat and adjoining areas.

Donations for Victorian bush fire appeal - March 2009

Thanks to all for their support for the Victorian Bush Fire Appeal. A$870 were donated by the community members. PAASA transferred these donations to Australian Red Cross.

Please note, PAASA would need 4 volunteers one hour before the start of each program to set up the hall; 4 volunteers after the program to clear the hall and 4 volunteers during the function to help in food supply on the food tables. People are requested to register their interest via ec@paasa.org.au

PAASA annual membership helps in organising community events and functions. If you have not paid your membership for the year 2009-2010, please do so ASAP. It is reminded that PAASA financial members enjoy the benefits such as, attending AGM and having their say about PAASA constitution or any other matter, contesting elections to become executive committee member and the right of voting during biannual elections.
